Lots of Christmas Sewing

I spent the last two nights before Christmas making six pairs of sleep pants. The first night, I made the smaller pants, the second night I made the bigger pants. The bolt only contained 8 yards, so I had to make half the older girls pants using a coordinating solid. Of course, my husband bought me a pair of electric sissors for Christmas. He kept thinking that I could have used them while cutting out all these pants. I also made a second pair of pants for my 3 year old.

Flannel was on Sale

I could not help myself. After all, flannel was on sale for 99 cents a yard. That's almost like giving it away. I bought about 35 yards and got an extra 10% off of my total purchase too. I have not sewed much this year, but will try and make up for that between now and the end of the year. I made 4 pairs of sleep pants this weekend and need to make at least 10 more pairs before the end of the year. I bought 8 yards of one print to try and squeeze out 6 pairs of sleep pants or shorts so that all the kids match. We'll see on this blog together whether I make them or not.

Sleep Pants for Natalie

I made these sleep pants this weekend for about 55 cents.

Asleep after a long weekend of fun and excitement.

I made these sleep pants for about 40 cents. The picture is a little blurry, but the fabric has pink crowns and the word Princess on it.

Very appropriate for our Natalie.

Sleep Pants for Joseph

When did my little boy become so grown up looking?

Closeup of Joseph's new sleep pants I made this weekend. I also made him another pair with race cars, but I did not get a picture of them.
